Trust and security

Safety Spectrum holds sensitive information about people: incident details, injury records, return-to-work plans. Here is how it is protected, where it lives, and what you can ask us for.

On the record

How your data is protected

Your data stays in Canada

All production data, uploaded files, logs and all backups are stored in the Amazon Web Services Canada (Central) region in Montréal, and are locked to that region. Administration and support are performed from within Canada by Canadian staff, and Prismatic has no personnel or operations outside Canada. Application access can be restricted to Canadian IP addresses on request.

Built on independently audited infrastructure

Safety Spectrum runs on Amazon Web Services. AWS’s infrastructure and services are independently audited against SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3, certified to ISO/IEC 27001, 27017 and 27018, and the AWS Canada (Central) region has been assessed by the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security for Government of Canada workloads up to Protected B.

Those reports cover the data centres, networks and managed services beneath the application. We can provide the current AWS SOC and ISO reports to your security reviewers under AWS’s terms, alongside the controls described on this page, which are Prismatic’s own responsibility: encryption settings, access control, monitoring and the dedicated environment for each client.
